the beginning

Well, here I am, finally joining the masses in the world of blogging. It's all very new and strange to begin with, but not too difficult, so far, only a couple of false starts as I wanted to change a couple of things after I'd started. Have decided this could be quite a useful way of keeping in touch with friends overseas and a much better way of sharing photos, rather than clogging up e-mail boxes with oversized attachments - well, that's what I hope to be able to do in the future. I'm looking forward to learning more about some of the new things that are out there and how to use them.
